For a 45KW motor with four levels of voltage, where the load is an exhaust fan located 260 meters away from the power cabinet and operates continuously for long periods, what specification of cable should be used?
Is YJV okay? Is there a problem with the distance?
It depends on the application: whether the cable is buried directly, run in a cable tray, or installed in ducts; whether it’s in a southern or northern region; distance plays a role as well as voltage drop
In the north, follow the cable tray; the motor is located 50 meters ahead in an explosion-proof area, while the remaining 200 meters are in a normal environment. The power supply voltage remains at around 400V – is that acceptable?
Using 3*35+1*16, the line voltage drop is approximately 20V, so there should be no problem. The line loss is about 3KW; I’m not very familiar with this type of design. If the line loss is to be kept below 5%, it would be necessary to use 50 square millimeters cables.
The current for a 45kw motor should be around 80A; the safe current-carrying capacity of a 25mm² cable is 100A
What are the emission sources in explosion-proof areas? In general, in explosion-proof areas, cables are installed openly in conduits or buried directly; there are also other cables inside the cable trays, so you can follow the installation methods used for those cables. In winter in the north, care should be taken to prevent freezing. Since there is a section that is an explosion-proof area, it is recommended to use YJV22 armored cables
