I buy new clothes for the New Year by asking my husband for financial support. But he said he earns the money himself to buy new clothes. He also said that he bears most of the family burdens and household chores. Indeed, I’ve been busier than him, earn more than him, and have less of a financial burden at home. But it’s so sad! What can such a marriage bring to one? He also called me a country person with an old-fashioned way of thinking. Dear sea friends, please give your feedback; I would like to get things clarified.
A big slap was thrown at it. . . All property acquired after marriage is joint. . . If a pay-it-yourself system is to be adopted, that’s fine; the two parties can sit down and draft an agreement, and any expenses that go beyond what’s specified in the agreement must be covered by each party themselves.
A man’s duty is to support his family; don’t bring up any other considerations
Hehe, is this the price of a child taking the father’s surname? ;P
If you reverse it, it becomes ¥; if the wife doesn’t waste money, then who is she to spend it on? :lol
Could it be described as a typical case of strong women and weak men? Give that man some dignity. . . . . “Indeed, I’ve been busier than him, earn more than him, and have less of a financial burden at home. ”Obviously, the man is feeling upset. . . .
“Indeed, I’ve been busier than him, earn more than him, and have less of a financial burden at home. ” Look at this sentence – don’t you think it’s said the other way around? It seems like the woman is the more dominant one at home. A woman like that would simply get a divorce and find a man with an income higher than her own. . . . .
Here, the “husband” referred to by the poster is not the one whose role is to \"pay the bill\"; it should be called the one who \"takes on the debt\"! So the original poster still has to rely on themselves. If the original poster doesn’t even have enough money to buy new clothes, then they shouldn’t act all proud
Actually, there’s no inevitable connection between how much one earns and how much housework they do. My income is higher than my wife’s, but I do more housework. Don’t say I’m cheap; I really like hearing my wife and kids say that the food I cook is delicious, that the floor is clean, and that the clothes I wash are clean: lol. One last thing – in a family life, what’s needed is mutual support! A needle tip against a wheat awn – both get hurt! Life is short, so why not be happier?
It’s probably traditional beliefs at work. Women should stay at home to take care of their husbands and children, while men should go out to work and act as the head of the family. These days, men have so many expectations of women: they should be able to handle matters in the household as well as in the kitchen ; Beautiful as a flower, yet not to the extent of attracting attention from others ; Make money while still doing housework. . .
I would like to thank all the experts (including many moderators) for their enthusiastic responses. I feel that I’m not strong at all; rather, I’m quite weak, with no real influence in what I say. Very traditional. There’s just one thing: anyway, what else can you do but stick to what you’ve chosen? Sigh……
