Is there any involvement from Liaoyang Petrochemical? I heard that you have carried out modifications to the delayed coking process, enabling you to process Venezuelan heavy oil. Could you give a brief overview of this?
We processed Maray oil for a period of time. The main focus is on keeping the outlet temperature of the heating furnace from becoming too high, in order to prevent the formation of coked pellets. To achieve stable desulfurization, the circulation rate of the amine solution is increased; the specific control parameters for these adjustments need to be determined based on the test results from the laboratory
Maray oil has a high content of heavy metals, which can cause severe poisoning of catalysts

The Petrochemical Research Institute has made breakthroughs in the technology for delayed coking of low-quality heavy oil. It carried out China’s first industrial trial of 100% delayed coking of Venezuelan ultra-heavy oil residue on a plant with an annual capacity of 1 million tons; this technology has been applied in 7 coking plants with an annual capacity of 1 million tons each, including those operated by Wuhu Petrochemical, resulting in a 2-percentage-point increase in liquid yield and annual economic benefits exceeding 1 billion yuan.
