To enhance the effectiveness of safety education and training, it is necessary to flexibly employ various teaching methods and organizational formats based on the needs of the trainees and the content of the training, thereby increasing its relevance, innovation, and practicality and promoting the standardization of such education and training efforts. To do this effectively, the following “ten methods” should be utilized: First, the interactive method – which involves holding discussions and talks to stimulate employees’ active thinking, enable them to build on each other’s strengths, and inspire one another. “The truth becomes clearer through discussion. Through discussion and debate, employees can dispel their misconceptions, align their thinking, learn from one another, and achieve common improvement. II. The role-reversal method: This involves employees taking turns giving lectures, delivering presentations on specific topics, or sharing stories related to certain themes. In this approach, experienced workers pass on their skills while younger employees share their learning experiences. By taking turns in the role of teacher, everyone gets closer to one another, fostering a sense of camaraderie. This helps employees reinforce their knowledge of safety through these lectures, thereby achieving mutual improvement and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of training programs. III. Activity-based approach: Various engaging activities such as visiting units that excel in safe production, observing demonstrations of safety skills, and viewing exhibitions of safety education materials are used to make learning enjoyable. Before the event, the purpose should be clearly defined so that everyone can attend with specific questions in mind ; After the event, a discussion session should be organized to share thoughts and reflections, so as to ensure that everyone gains knowledge and makes progress. IV. Reporting Method: By attending lectures by teachers, expert seminars, and presentations on outstanding achievements in safety work, people can receive systematic training in new knowledge and education on such achievements, thereby learning new knowledge and acquiring new skills, as well as embracing new ideas and raising their awareness. V. Internet-based training: Organizations that meet the relevant conditions can use the Internet to conduct safety training and education for employees who work in various roles, are located in different locations, or cannot gather together, through methods such as video tutorials, page browsing, online forums, and email communication, thereby ensuring a high participation rate in such training programs. VI. Audio-visual teaching methods: Employees are organized to watch and listen to teaching CDs, videos, lecture tapes, etc. by purchasing them. Audio-visual teaching media can be used repeatedly, making it convenient to show them in turn in grassroots workshops and teams; this helps to address the issue of a shortage of safety trainers at the production front line. VII. Self-study method: For positions where it is difficult to organize training due to only one person performing a particular task, or for employees who need to make up for missed lessons, self-study can be carried out by distributing learning materials, thereby ensuring that safety education and training reach all relevant individuals. VIII. Mentorship Program: Pair experienced senior workers with new employees in order to train them in operational skills and enhance their practical experience and hands-on abilities. A mentor-mentee contract can be signed to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of both parties, clarify the goals to be achieved as well as the reward and penalty mechanisms, with regular assessments carried out to ensure compliance. IX. Competition Method: Through competitions in safety theory knowledge and practical skills, employees can strengthen their learning of safety theory knowledge and skill training as they prepare for these competitions. During the competitions, they can reinforce their knowledge of safety theory, learn from others’ experiences, develop a passion for learning and a sense of honor, thereby promoting the advancement of educational and training efforts on a broader scale. X. Assessment Methods: The effectiveness of training and education is evaluated through tasks completed, submission of learning reflections, as well as theoretical and practical exams. This approach aims to encourage employees to adopt a proper attitude toward learning, enhance their motivation, devote more effort to studying, and improve their academic performance.
