Once, brine was added to the saline water instead of production water; I would like to ask everyone how to calculate the water balance!
Concentration issue. The salt concentration in the brine used to fill the tank is generally 300 grams per liter; in other words, 300 kilograms of salt are dissolved in one cubic meter of pure water. By measuring the concentration of the brine, it’s possible to determine how much brine needs to be added. The salt content in the brine can be calculated, and by knowing the total flow rate of the brine, the total amount of salt present can be determined. Subtracting the salt content of the brine from this total gives the amount of pure salt that needs to be added.
