For the liquefied gas loading pump, I used a canned motor pump; however, due to frequent starting and stopping, the pump’s axis shifted, resulting in significant wear of the seals； During reprocessing, if the amount of material reprocessed is too small, it can also cause the liquefied gas to vaporize, leading to pump cavitation. What type of pump should be used for liquefied gas, and how is the flow rate determined? Dear Haiyou, please share your insights.
It’s usually a shielded pump; in the past we used Empire pumps, which all come equipped with a vapor balance line to ensure that any vaporized gas is removed promptly
When we participate in overseas projects, vertical centrifugal pumps of American origin are used as the liquefied gas transfer pumps; they are multi-stage centrifugal pumps, with the pump units located 8 meters below the ground surface, which effectively solves the problem of cavitation.
