For heat transfer oil entering the heat exchanger, should it enter from the high side and exit from the low side, or from the low side and exit from the high side? Generally, cooling water enters at a lower level and exits at a higher level, while steam enters at a higher level and exits at a lower level.

Media with higher temperatures flow from high to low, while those with lower temperatures flow from low to high. Just remember this one
The heat-conducting oil used as a heating source flows in from the top and out from the bottom; If the heat-conducting oil returning to the system is preheated, then there is a low inlet and high outlet pressure.
