Is gas produced during the anaerobic hydrolysis and acidification stage?

As the title suggests, question 1: Does anaerobic digestion produce gas during the hydrolysis and acidification stage? If no gas is produced, it’s easy to explain; but if gas is produced, what kind of gas is it? Question 2: As we all know, the methanogenesis stage is anaerobic and gas is produced, mainly methane and carbon dioxide. Setting aside factors related to the fermentation substrate, if the anaerobic treatment system becomes acidic or approaches an acidic state, does there be a significant change in the ratio of these two gases in the produced gas?

During hydrolytic acidification, acidifying bacteria produce organic acids through metabolism; insoluble small-molecule compounds enter the cells of fermenting bacteria, where they are converted into simpler compounds before being secreted outside the cells. Hydrolytic acidification can increase the biodegradability of substances, reduce reaction time and energy consumption, and also decrease the amount of sludge generated.
