The TS-1 catalyst can also be considered a milestone product in the catalyst industry. Abroad, Italy and the United States possess extensive experience in the production and research of TS-1 catalysts. The price of these catalysts in domestic markets is very high, usually exceeding 1 million yuan per ton. In recent years, an increasing number of caprolactam production facilities have been established in China, resulting in a high demand for TS-1 catalysts. However, the production technology for TS-1 catalysts in China is generally considered to be inferior to that used abroad, yet their selling price is several orders of magnitude lower; they can now be purchased for just a few hundred thousand yuan. That raises a question: is it still appropriate to install TS-1 catalyst production facilities now? And if so, what is the market situation like? Should the technology be sourced domestically or from abroad? It’s possible to obtain it domestically, but it’s more difficult to do so from abroad. What are everyone’s opinions and ideas on this matter? Please offer some constructive suggestions, or perhaps some experts in caprolactam technology could evaluate which catalysts are the best Summary: (1) What is the status of the TS-1 catalyst market? If the product’s performance is top-notch, sales will never be an issue
That’s true to some extent, but it’s difficult to put into practice. First of all: how can you get customers to accept your catalyst? Where is the basis for what you say? It is only possible after your catalyst has been used in the CPL production facility for a certain period of time, and after the manufacturer gives some recognition to it that this can be done ； Secondly, replacing the catalyst carries certain risks for enterprises, and generally, companies are reluctant to attempt it lightly.

The titanium-silica molecular sieves produced by Sinopec are mainly used for internal purposes; they are relatively expensive and rarely sold outside the company. The titanium-silicon molecular sieves produced by Luxi Chemical are mainly used for internal purposes, with little being sold externally. The titanium-silicon molecular sieve produced by Pingmei and similar companies has just been successfully manufactured on a pilot scale; now they are waiting for the oxime formation unit to be put into operation. Among them, Luxi Chemical and Pingmei Shenma use our technology for their titanium-silicon molecular sieves, as well as the process flows and operating procedures that I developed. The market is currently quite saturated; it has been impossible to obtain prices of 1 million per ton for a long time now. The current price is around 300,000–400,000 per ton. If utility consumption and human resource management are handled effectively, the total cost can be reduced to around 200,000 per ton, which no longer constitutes an extremely profitable product.
