I feel upset and need to share my thoughts; I’ll talk about the current situation in the company to bring some humor to everyone and encourage greater caution. Coordinates (Zibo, Shandong). As everyone knows, the design industry is currently very challenging to work in. Today, I’ll tell you how the leaders of our company are managing things during this tough winter period. Our design institute is a fairly competent one in Zibo; it once flourished during the boom in the design industry, but has since declined to this state. This is related to the overall market conditions, but what’s more critical is that the basic benefits for employees are uncertain and running out. The promised bonuses keep getting postponed, the daily treatment deteriorates day by day, rules change frequently with no sense of consistency, and the main task at work has shifted from design to mindless stamp-putting. A group of **construction designers sigh all day long. Sigh, the market is sluggish ； Alas, the company is in arrears with bonuses. Despite the difficult conditions, the colleagues still persevere. Regardless of the size or complexity of a project, as long as the company has signed a contract, everyone does their best to complete it, refusing to allow any delay in progress. Everyone looks forward to receiving a bonus at the end of the year so as to have a fulfilling and happy New Year. But things didn’t go as planned; the promised bonus was nothing but a joke. Time passed by, and the management never gave any response. Before we knew it, the beginning of the year had turned into the end of it, and the so-called bonus was never even considered by the management from the start. (Hehe.) With the holidays approaching, the colleagues around me finally couldn’t hold back any longer and went on strike! There are no excessive details; this post does not involve anyone’s privacy, and everything stated is true. Finally, I would like to warn my fellow designers: do not come here and suffer. Please spread the word about such unkind and unjust companies, and warn your family and friends not to fall for them and end up in trouble. (In Zibo, Shandong, there is another testing company named TFT in Linzi; these are the same company – engineers should be extremely careful.)
Is it a state-owned enterprise or a private company? Given the current difficult economic situation, it’s likely that the strike won’t achieve very good results
Are there countless small design firms in Zibo?
I understand; with the industry in its current state, companies are forced to tighten their belts and live day by day without any certainty. It’s obvious that no coal chemical projects will be approved in the next three years – so what will engineering companies do then?

Does the original poster really know the market situation?? The market situation is such that just getting a salary is already good enough – do we still need bonuses? Your salary already includes the tasks that are part of your basic job duties. What you’re saying is that if there are no bonuses, then there’s no need to work – so what’s the purpose of the basic salary then? But that also requires money; without any projects to work on, it’s even impossible to pay the basic salary
Not to mention private companies, even state-owned enterprises can’t pay you if they don’t have the money. It was only after working for a few years that I realized that the complaining, waiting, and putting in extra effort you talk about are completely pointless (in my opinion). No matter how you do your work, it’s still your own decision; instead of complaining, it’s better to find another way forward. What do you think?
Engineering company? One place I know that is under the state-owned sector; there are two people for one position, with each person working there for half a year. In other words, two people earn one person’s salary. Calgary is Canada’s energy city, and due to low oil prices, its unemployment rate has reached 7.1%, the highest level recorded in 20 years. Capitalists, unlike those in state-owned enterprises, take into account the fact that behind each worker there is a family; firing a worker could destroy an entire family. Returning to the original question, complaining is pointless, as no one has ever given you a written promise to give a bonus. As an individual, when I’m not too busy, I try to recharge myself and improve my technical skills. Furthermore, for some things that are caused by the broader environment, it is a good life philosophy to accept them as they are. Think about it carefully: even if you get your year-end bonus, how many days will you be happy for? Why go through the hassle and stress over such a small amount of money?
