For initial driving, should the pipeline be purged first or a hydraulic test conducted first?
Pressure testing is a part of the construction process, while purging is a step taken at the start of work.
After the purging is complete and any leaks are repaired following the pressure testing, how should the remaining weld slag or impurities be dealt with? :lol
The final stage of project construction is the hydrostatic test and airtightness inspection, which are carried out by the construction team. But as a precaution, the production unit still holds back pressure during steam purging

Of course, the owner must also cooperate and provide supervision. After the pressure testing is successful, it is the owner’s responsibility to carry out purging
First, conduct a pressure test and leak check; only after passing can cleaning with gas and trial operation be carried out. These are two separate stages, each supervised by a different person.
First, conduct a water pressure test; once the test is successful, use some water to flush out any dirt in the pipelines (this can also be referred to as water flushing). After that, carry out a purge with compressed air – this step serves not only to remove residues such as welding slag but also to dry out any water that remains from the pressure test.
