Connection bolts for cable trays

I would like to ask everyone: For bridge racks made of galvanized carbon steel, since the bolts made of galvanized carbon steel tend to rust in the past, can stainless steel connection bolts be used instead? Using stainless steel raises concerns about the issue of contact between different types of steel; thank you!

That’s right; choosing between carbon steel and stainless steel is indeed a problem. Carbon steel is cheap and strong, but when different types of steel come into contact with each other, that’s why we opt for galvanized carbon steel – the principle of a galvanic cell causes the zinc on the surface to corrode first. In your case, it’s actually fine; I think using galvanized carbon steel is no problem. What’s really tricky is the connection of bolts, nuts, and flanges, and for that we need to follow the manufacturer’s advice
