When using Aspen’s dynamic simulation feature, how should it be set so that the overhead yield of the distillation column remains a constant value, unaffected by changes in parameters? Thank you!
It’s definitely not possible in an instant; you can add a flow controller at the top of the tower, introduce perturbations into the dynamic simulation, and have the flow at the top of the tower change to the value you set, based on parameters such as the gain time of your control valve
