What type of level gauge is usually used for measuring the liquid level in oilfield water injection buffer tanks (containing oil)? In addition to being able to measure continuous liquid levels, it is preferable to be able to measure the oil-water interface: handshake

For the measurement interface, I have used double flange and magnetostrictive types. For double flanges, the differential pressure must not be too low; otherwise, accurate measurement is not possible. Magnetostriction cannot be used in environments with excessively high temperatures or very viscous media; it is best if there is a large density difference between the two media, as this makes it easier to construct the float.
