Oil floating problem in biochemical tanks

The biological wastewater treatment tank is covered with floating oil. I would like to ask fellow sailors: what are some ways to remove it? I’ve tried using absorbent cotton before, but it wasn’t very effective. At the moment, oil spill cleanup is done solely by manual efforts. Is there any other way? ?
The floating oil can be removed by means of overflow.
Control it at the source! Emulsification is broken down to separate oil and water before entering the biochemical system.
It depends on whether there is an aeration tank at the rear part of your biochemical tank–if so, add some polyaluminum chloride and polyacrylamide to it to help remove the floating oil as much as possible!
What process do you use for oil removal in the preliminary treatment stage? Strict control is necessary; oil removal in the later stages is not only difficult but also inefficient, and over time it can cause problems with the biochemical system.
