What issues should be considered during the operation of an SCR system?
The following points should be noted during the operation of the SCR system: 1. When the dilution fan is running, check for vibration, motor temperature, abnormal noises, any vibration in the outlet air duct, and the outlet air pressure. 2. Check whether the rubber hoses of the flow meters on the ammonia spraying grid are damaged and causing ammonia leakage; if so, isolate the ammonia sampling valve of the flow meter and notify maintenance to replace the rubber hoses. 3. Check that there is no ammonia leakage in the system; the control unit shows no ammonia leak alarms, and there is no pungent ammonia smell at the site. 4. The readings at the inlet and outlet points of the SCR are normal, with no alarm signals. 5. The ammonia distribution butterfly valves are used to adjust the flow rate of each ammonia spray based on the flow meters; these settings should generally remain unchanged. Regularly check that all flow meters are within the normal range. If a flow meter shows a very low or zero flow rate, it is possible that there is blockage in the ammonia spray nozzles or at the valve inlets. In such cases, it is necessary to clean the nozzle areas or open the inlet valves for inspection. 6. Record the ammonia consumption for denitration and the denitration efficiency on a daily basis, in order to calculate the monthly specific denitration consumption. 7. If the boiler is in operation, the dilution fan should be kept running, and the outlet isolation valve should be opened to supply air to the AIG, in order to prevent the ammonia distribution pipes from getting clogged with ash. 8. Check that the differential pressure at the inlet and outlet of the SCR should be normal. (
