Gentlemen, the common practice in design institutes for motor starting is local starting; remote starting is generally not designed. I would like to ask if this approach is a common practice, or are there any relevant regulations? If so, could you let me know which standard or specification it is based on? Thank you
The motor can be started remotely or locally, depending mainly on the process requirements!
It’s not a universal practice, nor are there any strict rules – it all depends on your needs. If it’s the workers on site who are responsible for starting and stopping, then of course it’s done right there； If required by centralized control, it will naturally be remote

Remote startup is definitely possible; we often use remote methods
This is the standard practice in design institutes; as long as you have a request, it is possible to achieve remote control, multi-location control, manual/automatic control, etc.
I think it has something to do with the operating environment; in our factory, the medium is quite viscous, and it condenses when the temperature drops. All pumps must be started on-site, and the operator must monitor the condition of the equipment during startup.
