Before formal furnace heating, the furnace should be preheated, with the heating temperature determined by the temperature at the top of the radiation chamber. During the furnace drying process, the temperature should be increased and decreased strictly in accordance with the predetermined drying curve. The adjustment of the burner air valve dampers must be done slowly to prevent issues such as incomplete combustion, flameout, or fluctuations in furnace pressure.
