Hello everyone, may I ask what is the difference between a pressure relief valve and a throttle valve? ? How to choose? Can a throttle valve also reduce pressure? Thank you!

The purpose of a pressure relief valve is to reduce pressure, so there must be a target pressure range; the valve is equipped with springs, pistons, or diaphragms. The throttle valve is similar to the globe valve; the difference between them lies in the valve core
A pressure relief valve reduces the high-pressure medium supplied at the input side to the low pressure level you have set; this process involves the release of the medium; The throttle valve, on the other hand, controls the flow rate of the medium merely by the opening degree of its valve element; their functions are different.

Will the flow rate change after these two valves? I’m not very clear – does the flow rate remain unchanged after passing through a pressure reducing valve, or does it decrease after passing through a throttle valve? ?
