As the title suggests, colleagues with experience in design and manufacturing are invited to participate!
This was organized a few years ago. Summary of precautions for chromium-molybdenum steel pressure vessels: Chromium-molybdenum steel is one of the commonly used materials for pressure vessels. It is widely employed in hydrogen-handling equipment in various refining, chemical processing hydrogenation units, and reforming plants, thanks to its excellent resistance to hydrogen corrosion and good high-temperature strength. However, due to the high strength and high brittleness of chromium-molybdenum steel, which makes it prone to hydrogen-induced cracking, this article summarizes the technical requirements for chromium-molybdenum steel pressure vessels in standards and engineering applications.
