Depending on the products that your facility mainly produces, our compressed air separation processes primarily generate oxygen, nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, and liquid argon: L
We mainly deal with factory air, instrument air, as well as high-pressure, medium-pressure, and low-pressure nitrogen. So what aspects do you mainly track? Is it sufficient to just count the daily production volume and energy consumption for each product?
Here, the amount of instrument air and plant air used is relatively small, as it is for internal use by other branches of our company; there are no flow meters available, so no statistics are kept. Nitrogen is supplied to other companies for use in security systems and similar purposes; the consumption of this gas is accounted for in the settlements with those companies. Oxygen, on the other hand, is used by our main facilities, and the calculation related to it focuses on the oxygen production cost per unit of output from air separation processes. The by-products such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, and liquid argon are also exported, and their consumption needs to be recorded as well. If your high-pressure, medium-pressure, and low-pressure nitrogen are the main products, I recommend tracking them separately, as different pressure levels result in different energy consumption, and therefore different prices.
