My workshop has a wastewater collection tank; over time, a thick layer of silt has accumulated at the bottom of the tank. There is also a layer of oil floating on the surface of the wastewater, mainly composed of benzene and ethylbenzene and other benzene derivatives. The current method of treatment involves manually removing the oil from the surface, but this still does not meet the emission standards, which require a COD level of less than 500 ppm and an oil content of less than 50 ppm. I’m seeking advice from everyone – does anyone have any effective solutions? It is said that there is a flocculant that can aggregate the oil on the water surface, allowing it to be collected! Who has used it! Help! Thank you
