Issues regarding the design qualifications for pressure pipelines

Currently, there is a company that intends to apply for the qualification to design pressure pipelines. It is aware that the \"TSG R1001-2008 Safety Technical Specifications for Special Equipment\" sets requirements in this regard; the other requirements are relatively easy to meet. One of the requirements is to have full-time design personnel, as well as no fewer than 3 approval officers, with such approval involving both review and final confirmation. Can an application be submitted if there are three approval officers but no one responsible for final confirmation?
Without approval, it is not possible to apply for GC1 or GD1. It should be related to the scope of the design applied for.
So what is the key difficulty of this qualification? Is it a certification certificate or a preliminary design? What’s the pass rate?
It’s hard to say what the most challenging part is. I’ve only been through the process of renewing a license; it involves meeting all hardware and software requirements (pre-designed solutions are mandatory), following the standard application procedures. Before the application is accepted, most of the work consists of preparing documents and writing related materials. In my opinion, the toughest part is the final on-site evaluation by the expert panel, which includes checking the content of the application documents, reviewing the drawings, testing the designers, and holding design presentations. It’s also necessary to take good care of the experts during this process (just a joke, by the way; P). After all, they are experienced experts, so it’s important to approach them with an attitude of humility, ready to learn from their feedback and improve if needed. The key is to make sure that the review panel believes you indeed have the design capabilities required
Haha, one more thing: never talk back to the review team. Otherwise, you will suffer losses. :lol
This post was last edited by Yimi on 2016-3-3 at 16:57 ;P It’s definitely necessary to keep it, even if what you say is correct. Contact the quality supervision bureau several times, and try to ask all the questions you need to before going to the site; that will make things much easier later on.
