Fuel tanks are primarily used to store diesel, gasoline, and other types of fuels with high solvency and corrosiveness, which are composed of hydrocarbons such as alkanes, cycloalkanes, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Applying traditional epoxy paint to the inner walls of these tanks does not provide effective protection against such strong corrosive effects and solvency; instead, the paint will corrode and peel off, leading to corrosion and rusting of the tank, as well as deterioration in the quality of the fuels and a decline in their performance. It is therefore particularly important to improve the corrosion resistance of the inner wall of the fuel tank. Special paint for the inner walls of fuel tanks is an important anti-corrosion coating with excellent chemical resistance, strong leveling properties, a thick and shiny finish, high hardness, scratch resistance, and fast drying time. Its production process is simple and its cost is low; therefore, it is widely used for anti-corrosion coating of the inner walls of mechanical and electrical equipment as well as power plant equipment fuel tanks. In addition to this application, it can also be used on various stainless steel devices, with very satisfactory results. It not only improves the density of the coating layer but also enhances its resistance to oil penetration, corrosion, and flammability. Moreover, it possesses a self-cleaning ability that other paints do not have. To more effectively prevent corrosion of fuel tank equipment and improve the anti-corrosion performance of the inner walls of various BGR fuel tanks, two coats of this paint are usually applied to the inner surfaces of fuel tank equipment and tanks, as well as to the surfaces of parts that come into frequent contact with gasoline, followed by drying. It is necessary to constantly check whether there is any peeling of the coating on the inner walls of the fuel tanks; only through regular maintenance can the service life of the equipment be extended.
