The 5.5-meter ramming coke oven is currently operating at low load; the coking time is 86 hours. According to waste gas analysis, the oxygen level is 13, carbon dioxide levels are 5, and the air excess factor is 2. My question is: what should be the appropriate value for the air excess factor when the coking time is long? Whether the control of the above indicators is reasonable.
Under normal circumstances, the excess factor is around 1.25; the coking time should also be controlled in this manner
You’ve already been at it for 86 hours – why do you still care about the air coefficient? 1.2-1.25 is the indicator for normal production; extending the coking time indicates abnormality. If it’s already abnormal, why strive for a certain coefficient?
Your company has a coking time of 86 hours, while ours, despite operating under difficult conditions, only has a coking time of 25 hours. 86 hours means the plant is practically shut down half the time; we’re already losing money, so there’s really no need for you to pay special attention to the air coefficient – as long as no accidents occur, that’s fine.

I just want to ask what level of control should be applied under long coking times (i.e., in those abnormal conditions you mentioned): victory:
I just want to ask what level is appropriate to control under long coking times, and how to do it
The key is to control the temperature of the vertical flue properly; it must not be too low, otherwise short circuits are likely to occur! !
We have not maintained the temperature at a high level for long periods; under such conditions, the standard metrics for normal coke oven operation are no longer relevant. What you should focus on is doing your best to maintain the temperature in the flue channels, ensure the furnace remains airtight, and keep the gas collection system at positive pressure. Keeping it around 2.0 for such a long time, I think that’s quite acceptable. I’m not very knowledgeable; I really don’t understand how to control it or to what extent. Sorry
