Will replacing the step-controlled butterfly valve with a ∨-shaped ball valve have any impact? The medium is water
It has no impact; it’s just that the opening curve is different, but it still works as usual……
As long as the design is proper, there should be no problems; the medium is water, and since the pressure isn’t high, it should be fine
The linearity of the valve will change, resulting in better adjustment performance. It’s not a question of whether it’s water or not; you need to compare the technical specifications of the two valves you’re considering. Is the maximum flow rate of the V-ball valve roughly the same as that of the butterfly valve?
