People’s livelihood projects drive the upgrading of harmonious and livable cities

By the end of October, Boshan District had completed the renovation of 18 old residential complexes and the upgrading of 18 side streets and alleys; 1,200 rural houses were built, 150 dilapidated houses were repaired, and natural gas was supplied to 5,125 households… Although there is still some time left before the year-end deadline, various indicators show that significant progress has been made in implementing projects aimed at improving people’s livelihoods in Boshan District of Zibo City this year, with many goals having been exceeded. This achievement is the result of the district’s efforts to build a harmonious and livable city in accordance with the working principles of “one focus area, three key areas of effort” and “ten new breakthroughs”. Key urban construction projects are being advanced in a sequential manner. Take the lead in carrying out the construction of key urban projects across the region, improve urban infrastructure, and promote regional economic development. Great efforts have been made in road construction; the design, construction, and development of more than 10 roads such as Shuangshan North Road, Shantou North Road, and Zhengjue Temple Road have been carried out. According to information from the China Pump Industry Network, projects such as Heishan Road, Zhixin Road, and Jiuzhou Road were completed. Municipal facilities such as road surfaces, sidewalks, and street lights in the urban area were repaired and upgraded, further improving the city’s road network and facilitating residents’ travel. Efforts are being made to accelerate the construction of pipeline networks; the planning for utility tunnels and sponge city projects has been completed. Full efforts are being devoted to the improvement, utilization, and protection projects for the Xiaofu River, with the construction of sewage pipelines in the sections downstream of the Huanke Sewage Treatment Plant as well as the construction of sewage interception pipelines for the Yueyang River already completed. Focusing on the key tasks of the entire district, it took the lead in organizing and implementing major urban projects such as the Entrepreneurship Building, Shuobo Pump Industry, the relocation of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, emergency water supply in Xiejiadian, and comprehensive river management. By using the PPP model, it entered investment framework agreements with China State Construction Fifth Engineering Bureau and China Railway 10th Bureau, thereby attracting private capital to invest in the urban infrastructure development in Boshan District and improving the standard of construction.
