At 5:05 a.m. on March 7, 2016, Min Enze, who had served as a delegate to the third through eighth REN conferences, as well as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, passed away in a ward at Peking University Third Hospital, bringing to an end his 93-year life. According to Xie Wenhua, Secretary of Min Enze, Min Enze’s memorial service will be held on the morning of March 13 at the Babashan Funeral Home. Min Enze once summarized his decades-long career by saying that he had engaged in three types of work throughout his life: tasks necessary for national defense and petrochemical plants, efforts to help these industries overcome difficulties, and basic, strategic, long-term research and development in science and technology. Whether it was out of **need, corporate requirements, or a commitment to research, Min Enze was always diligent and uncomplaining.
