Experts: When the acetylene content in VCM is high, how should the reaction temperature in the polymerization reactor be adjusted? For example: For acetylene content of 350PPm–150PPm, by how much does the temperature of the polymerization reactor drop?
For levels above 350 ppm, the temperature of the polymerization reactor drops by 0.7–1.0°C; for levels between 350 ppm and 150 ppm, the temperature drop is 0.3–0.5°C; for levels between 50 ppm and 150 ppm, the temperature drop is 0.1–0.3°C; and for levels below 50 ppm, the temperature drop is 0.1°C. This is based on personal experience and is for reference only! ! !
With distillation technology being so advanced these days, there is absolutely no issue of compounds with excessively high or low boiling points! The temperature adjustment must not exceed 3°C.
Based on experience and the calculation results, it is possible to reduce by 0.1 for every 20 ppm℃

It would be better to recycle it and perform low-column distillation again. It’s at 650-1500 ppm; this could affect the type of polymer resin used. Moreover, the reaction time is long, the conversion rate is very low, and the resulting material has poor thermal stability as well as a tendency to change color. It’s better not to use it in the production process.
