It can be used as the outlet service valve for large water pumps (with a diameter of 1.6 m or more and a pressure of 4 MPa). Its main functions are to cut off the water flow in the event of an accident that causes the pump station to stop operating, to control the reverse rotation speed of the pump unit, and to prevent excessive water hammer pressure. There are well-known domestic and international manufacturers that can produce such nozzle check valves or ball valves (other types will also work).
