How is the oil under the floating roof of a floating-roof tank extracted, and what are the precautions?
The last edit to this post was made by 68589544 on 2016-3-17 at 20:21. Generally, the floating deck stops descending once it reaches the height of the support; moreover, the seal at the edge of the floating deck is prone to coming loose due to gravity.
What does that mean? Oil under the floating disk? Is the outlet tube not equipped with a siphon? The outlet pipe inside my internal floating roof tank is of the siphon type, allowing the naphtha at the bottom of the tank beneath the floating disk to be drawn out until it’s completely gone. If there is no siphon, a temporary pump must be connected to the drainage hole or waste outlet to pump out the water.
