I would like to ask why, when using stainless steel pipes for instrument air supply, flanges or welding are preferred over threaded connections As required by Article 7.5 of HG/T20510-2014, Design Code for Instrument Air Supply.
It is relatively easy to thread galvanized pipes on-site, while threading stainless steel pipes is more difficult! The full name of galvanized pipe is galvanized welded steel pipe; it is not a seamless pipe. There is a seam in the middle which is welded together, and then the pipe is galvanized. If galvanized pipes are welded on-site, the galvanizing layer is damaged, losing its anti-corrosion function; as a result, the welded areas of the galvanized pipes rust!
The twisted wires have damaged the galvanized layer, so it should rust as well
Asking this question again – welding is a hundred times better than threading; that’s the answer!
First, the cost is high; second, the quality is good. I’ll just set a rule for you to avoid unnecessary trouble.
How do you thread stainless steel pipes? Buy threaded fittings and weld them on? Isn’t it just taking off the pants to fart? It’s better to simply weld or use flanges instead
