For pipelines carrying methanol, toluene, hydrogen chloride gas, acids, and concentrated sulfuric acid, there are no special requirements regarding the selection of pipes or gaskets; the pressure is not high, so 16 kg is sufficient. Methanol toluene is flammable and non-corrosive; ordinary carbon steel can be used for it. As for gaskets, what should be chosen? Hydrogen chloride gas, salts, acids, and sulfuric acid are all likely to be corrosive; steel pipes probably won’t work – is lining necessary? What does the OP do? There are many types of media; for salts, acids, and sulfuric acid where temperature and pressure are not high, lined pipes can be used. Gaskets are usually made of PTFE, while for high-temperature applications, graphite combined with metal is used.
16 kg pressure: methanol, toluene; regular carbon steel pipes; salt, acid – carbon steel pipes with PTFE lining; concentrated sulfuric acid – regular carbon steel pipes are sufficient. The gasket is a conventional flexible graphite wound gasket.
