What are the common processes used for the pretreatment of oilfield wastewater? The main goal is to remove oil and suspended solids; soluble salts are not required.
Oilfield water injection contains oil; previously, oil removal tanks were used, and now air flotation is employed when the amount of oil is small – it’s not clear what the effectiveness of this approach is
We haven’t dealt with oil field wastewater before, but if necessary, we can conduct experiments and provide services!

For large oil droplets, oil separation is achieved using corrugated plates along with air flotation; this is the common approach, and it’s sufficient to follow the existing standards for design. Someone posted about this on a forum some time ago – you can look there. If the oil droplets are small, add some demulsifier or use a polymeric oil-water separation membrane.
We use chemicals to remove oil and suspended solids, and the results are very good; it is possible to meet **the standard requirements.

The general treatment process for raw water at offshore platforms: inclined plate oil removal tank ----> multi-media filter ----> filtration separator.
