There is a connecting pipe between the vacuum pump inlet pipeline and the true flash heat exchanger; what is the function of this connecting pipe?

The inlet of the vacuum pump is generally connected to a reflux tank to create negative pressure, or it may be connected to the top condenser for the same purpose, in order to prevent non-condensable gases from accumulating in the heat exchanger and affecting its efficiency.
