Manual grinding and mechanical planing of gas valves

I’d like to ask everyone: is the sealing surface of air valves still being ground manually these days? The air valves processed by our factory can be assembled using only a surface grinder, and leak testing works fine as well; so maybe manual grinding can be eliminated. . . After all, a roughness level of 0.4 isn’t that unattainable given today’s machining capabilities, is it? Discussion is welcome: victory:
As long as the machining precision of the valve core and seat is sufficient, pressure can be maintained without grinding.
