When using nitrogen to purge pressure pipelines, what is the minimum distance between the installed blind flange and the purging port? Is this distance related to the pipe diameter? Are there any relevant standards? Thank you
As long as the flux through your gap is not less than that of the pipeline, there will definitely be no problem; it’s just a matter of obstruction. It’s often just a nut or something used as a pad.
It should be called a baffle; it’s best to have one that is at least 3 centimeters thick, so that small stones in the pipes can be blown out.
