What is the function of an isolator? What is the difference from a relay?
Relays can achieve digital isolation, but for analog isolation, an isolator is required.
Isolators are completely different from relays. An isolator can be considered equivalent to a safety barrier: it provides isolation for signal inputs, signal outputs, and power supply, thereby preventing interference. A relay, on the other hand, is merely a driving module… The two have fundamental differences and cannot be used interchangeably……

Relays are generally used for isolation between systems and high-voltage circuits, such as between control systems and MCCs, as well as for electric valve signals； So in what situations are isolators used? As far as I know, isolators are needed for the signal exchange between frequency converters and control systems. What other situations are there?
