I would like to ask: what type of signals are associated with the emergency stop button, the start button, the stop button, the reset button, and the mute button on-site? For a DCS system, do they correspond to DO or DI signals? Thank you
I want to know whether these are DO points or DI points in relation to DCS
Well, how to put it? If all operations are done via on-site buttons, that’s fine for a DCS; however, the DCS needs to display the status after those button operations are performed, and for that purpose DI signals are required. If these signals are all sent from the DCS, via software rather than buttons, then the emergency stop is a DO, while the rest are DI. . . . Well, I admit I can’t keep making things up; actually, the second floor is the perfect answer
The buttons on-site are all hard-wired; if a status indication is required, it is a DI signal, while if it is controlled by DCS soft switches, it is a DO
If these signals are fed into the DCS, they are all DI signals. (Button) One last sentence; if there is any output, it will be something like DO/AO and so on……
It’s very simple: digital signals that enter the DCS are DI, while digital signals that exit the DCS are DO
