Starting and stopping of high-pressure multi-stage centrifugal pumps, inlet and outlet manual valves, and return line to the tank
Start the pump: keep the inlet fully open, the outlet fully closed, and set the return line at an appropriate opening. Stop the pump; ensure the return line is at the appropriate opening. First close the outlet, then stop the motor, close the inlet, and turn on preheating!
Disable the minimum flow interlock, open the inlet, rotate the pump, start the priming pump, and open the manual valves before and after the minimum flow line. Here, we usually set the opening degree of the minimum flow line for starting the pump at 50%. After the pump starts, reduce the flow in the bypass line by closing it in conjunction with the outlet valve.
