What is the scientific name for the rows of grooves on the manhole cover of an oil storage tank?

I noticed today that some of the manhole covers on the oil tanks have grooves, while others don’t; they are flat. May I ask what those circular grooves are called? Gasket groove?
This can’t be called a seam; it’s just a sealing line. Mechanically speaking, it’s a loanword, transliterated.
