What is the difference between pressure-reducing and external pressure-sensing self-regulating valves?

A self-acting control valve operates automatically based on a set, objective value; the pressure after regulation can remain constant. In contrast, a pressure-reducing valve requires manual adjustment of the pressure difference – if the pressure before the valve changes, the pressure after the valve also changes, and it cannot be adjusted to a fixed pressure automatically.
