Dear experts, what type of molecular sieve is used in microheat regeneration adsorption dryers? Thank you!
If the goal is to remove moisture from the air, then activated alumina (alumina gel) can be used. For other requirements, such as removing carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons, a layer of molecular sieve (usually zeolite molecular sieve) can be added on top of the alumina gel~~
For just water removal, activated alumina is sufficient~~
More professionally put: It is determined based on the dew point of the finished gas you need, as to what additives to use and in what quantities! It can be pure alumina, or alumina + molecular sieve, etc
It’s not a molecular sieve; it’s an aluminum gel adsorbent.
For special requirements, some additional molecular sieve will be added to the molecular sieve~~
