Why have children? Should one have children to continue the family line, or to provide support in old age? Today, I finally saw a truly moving answer: to participate in the growth of a life. Participation: means giving and appreciating. I don’t expect my children to be perfect; they don’t need to save face for me, nor do they have to carry on the family line for me, and certainly not help take care of me in old age. As long as this life is healthy and able to walk through this beautiful world, let me have the chance to walk alongside them for a while… These words are so beautiful that they make one want to cry… So I remind myself: to love children in a different way! As long as he is doing well and happy. That’s enough. What do you all, fellow sailors, think? Please share your insights.
Without the process of raising children, life is incomplete; children represent a continuation of one’s own identity and a further development of one’s personality
Yes, before the baby was born, I kept imagining what he would look like; once he was born, all I hoped for was that he would be healthy.
To participate in the growth of a life. Nonsense. To truly be involved, one needs to grow up with their children from an early age, rather than making money outside and living apart. . .
Why have a second child when other conditions are ripe? I hope they have a companion.
Raising children to prevent old age is necessary, but the idea of continuing the family line is a feudal concept.
Participation does not mean being the organizer or host; it simply involves activities such as cooperation and assistance.
Oh, then give some money and let them fend for themselves. . .
I agree with the view that once a child starts working, parents merely play a role in their child’s growth. Help is available; there’s no need to impose or order.
Parents’ love for their children is the most selfless, seeking no reward in return....
