Therefore, it is necessary to know your bearing model in order to determine the corresponding outer diameter and width, so as to calculate the approximate amount of grease required. For example, if the outer diameter of bearing 6204 is 47 and its width is 14, then the amount of grease required is approximately 3.29 g. Assuming that a 400G manual butter gun applies about 0.8 g of grease per application, around 4 applications will be needed. Also, if you use a grease gun to apply grease, there’s no need to count the number of times you do it.
