(1) When using wet maintenance, keep the drum water level at the highest visible level. (2) During long-term maintenance, test the NH3 and N2H4 levels once per shift; the levels should be normal. (The temperature should not be too high to prevent ammonia evaporation.) (3) Regularly check that all valves are in the correct position and there are no leaks. (4) During unit startup, the entire system is thoroughly flushed. (Since hydrazine is toxic, it is diluted before startup and discharged into the drain. After the boiler is ignited but before the turbine is started up, the boiler should be vented to the atmosphere; the air valve and PCV valve of the steam drum should be opened until the ammonia content in the steam is less than 2 milliliters per liter, after which the steam can be supplied.)
