The diameter of the head is 2500; one manhole, 4 temperature measurement ports, and one vent are required. Which standard should be followed? Should it be reinforcement through an opening in the cylinder, or reinforcement through an opening in the flat cover?
Calculate according to the reinforcement for openings in elliptical heads. It can be calculated using SW6, or by hand as well.
It is best not to locate the access opening on the manhole cover; the manhole should be placed in the middle of the head, while the vent should be located at the top of the equipment. If it is necessary to have an opening on the head, then there must be a duct inside the equipment, with the duct’s opening also at the top of the equipment.

The openings in oval end caps must comply with the spacing requirements for openings on shells as specified in GB150, and cannot follow the standards for flat covers.
