Regarding the issue of by-product salt and acid color

The exhaust gas from benzene chlorination is used to produce by-product salts and acid; the color of the liquid coming out of the tower is still slightly yellow, but it turns yellow after being stored in a fiberglass storage tank for an extended period of time. The analysis results show that it contains 70–80 PPM of free chlorine, 20 PPM of iron, and 30 PPM of organic matter. What causes this yellowing over time? I would appreciate advice from experts. Is the salt acid storage tank in good condition? There should be no debris inside; generally, salt, acid, and yellow color are due to the presence of iron.
