As the title suggests: When installing chemical pumps, a second pouring is carried out. What are the advantages of this second pouring? Are there any other reasons besides facilitating the calibration of the pump outlet elevation?
The treatment of the surface of the concrete poured in the first instance, or the choice of the pouring pattern (flat pouring or trapezoidal pouring), is crucial for the surface treatment of the concrete poured initially, in order to ensure good adhesion between it and the concrete poured in the second instance! I have also seen equipment upgrades carried out on many occasions: the original foundation anchor bolts were drilled out using a drill, and after the new equipment was installed, the anchor bolts were repositioned and grouting was applied again.
Secondary grouting is used to maintain the precision of devices that have been precisely aligned; after grouting, it is possible to check the precision again and make slight adjustments to the bolts, thereby further improving the installation accuracy of the devices. Therefore, it is also a prerequisite for reviewing precision and performing secondary fine-tuning for alignment.
