What are the effects of high chloride ion levels? What will happen to the device? Thank you
Excessive chloride ions cause corrosion of equipment during the production process
Does the FCC catalyst contain chlorine? It seems there is no data; reforming and heterogenization catalysts contain chlorine, which creates acidic sites in the catalysts, leading to cracking.
It seems this has not been studied yet; the main issue with chloride ions is probably their corrosive effect on equipment.
Chloride ions mainly cause corrosion issues in equipment, especially stress corrosion cracking in stainless steel.
